Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish

Sunday 9:00 AM Mass - 816 W. 26th St. Erie, PA 16508

On October 26, our parish hosted an evening prayer service for peace. Together with our partnered parishes of St. Andrew and St. Paul, Sacred Heart welcomed 60+ people at dusk to pray to grow peace not just in the world, but also within our own hearts. At the end of the prayer service, participants signed cards that were mailed to a total of 9 local Jewish, Muslim, and also Ukrainian Christian faith communities. We mailed the cards as a gesture of friendship, solidarity in a difficult time, and in affirmation of how they are precious in the eyes of God and to us.

“Show us Christ in one another,
Make us servants strong and true.
Give us all your love of justice
So we do what you would do.
Let us call all people holy,
Let us pledge our lives anew,
Make us one with all the lowly,
Let us all be one in you.”
